GEOB 270 - Introduction to Geographic Information Science

We live in a data-rich world and much of this data is tagged to geographic locations and useful for geographic inquiry. Students in this course will learn how to acquire, analyze and visualize geospatial data with computer software, and to critically assess the results of geographic analysis.

Theoretical and applied perspectives on international migration and settlement. Includes analysis of: international regulation of migration; changing global demographics and their impact on migration; immigration policies of nation states; international migration patterns; settlement policies and outcomes; Canadian immigration policy.
